Dress Like a Nomad, Act Like a Nomad!

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

They walk the earth and travel the world, they’re in places one has never even dreamed of and explored cultures, people, habits and ways of lives. They’re nomads living the lives of many but most of all, their own, and it’s a damn perfect one!

Watching them throughout different fashion moments, it seems they have always been a constant haunting presence for designers and houses such as Gaultier, Galliano, Kenzo, Wunderkind, Junya Watanabe, Rei Kawakubo. Others, such as Missoni, have built a whole brand and philosophy around them. Nomads are there in the fall, there during spring, in winter and in summer and never fail to feed our hearts with dreams of random breakaways.

So tomorrow night, let’s venture to be as nomad as our imagination will allow us to be! Let’s enjoy the best of all cultures and mix the most unexpected pieces, let’s wear ethnic patterns with heavy furs and massive bangles. Let’s have an arty hairstyle and an almost warrior look in our eyes. Don’t be afraid to combine! Patterns, textures, colors, accessories…Nomads lived spontaneously and they looked great! Wear a mini-purse as necklace, be gipsy, Russian, Mexican and Eskimo all in one and all at once! Let’s engage on faraway lands and keep one thing in mind: once a nomad, always a nomad!
