I’ll just keep it to myself…In The Sun!

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Daca ati vazut filmul “500 Days of Summer”, va amintiti cu siguranta de Zooey Deschanel. Si daca vi le amintiti pe toate acestea, sigur va vine in minte si piesa “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I want”, cantata de atateaaa ori pe coloana sonora a filmului. Peformerii erau She & Him, aceiasi pe care vrem neaparat sa ii asculti astazi, acum, aici, cu o alta piesa, extrasa de pe albumul “Volume Two”, lansat anul acesta. Ah! In the Sun!:)

Lea, transexualul fascinant al modei

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Si astazi Tisci declara ca a vazut in Lea “o adevarata zeita”. – sta in aparitia ei in campania publicitara a casei Givenchy pentru iarna acestui an, cat si inevitabilul statut de muza a lui Tisci.

Gaia recommends you to think about this!:)

O ie pentru Yves!

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Keep your blouse Romanian and stay Chic in a Yves Saint Laurent unique way!

Romanian Chic hosted by Loredana

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Nelipsita in costumul popular romanesc, purtata cu mandrie in lume de Regina Maria a Romaniei, sursa de inspiratie a celebrului Henri Matisse, emblema in imbracamintea boema si adusa chiar la rangul de haute couture de Yves Saint Laurent, ia este mandrie nationala! Sa gustam traditia in forma ei pura in aceasta joi la Gaia si sa ne bucuram de frumusetea actualului cu iz de trecut!

In Love with a Style Icon: Anna Dello Russo

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

What does fashion need most? Colors, fabrics, cuts? Models, designers, marketing? True! But what does fashion ULTIMATELY need to turn it all into history and make us all boys and girls, men and women altogether want to die for an item or, for that matter, for the whole signature story behind it? Think in terms of Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn, Catherine Deneuve and Yves Saint Laurent, Jackie O. and Gucci or Lady Diana and Christian Dior. These are the style icons! And they’re what the designers themselves and the whole fashion industry are after nowadays. They influence trends, catwalks, street style, magazine covers and books. Among them, our very favorite Anna Dello Russo. She’s 47,  has worked for Vogue Italia, she’s now the editor-at-large for Vogue Japan and never misses a Fashion Week.  She bought her first Fendi bag at 13 and she now has 4000 pairs of shoes and 250 black tuxedo jackets. She’s far from being a contemporary version of Sleeping Beauty but she’s more than we need in terms of fashion and style. She has just launched her own perfume called “Beyond” and is preparing to write a book. Here she is in an editorial for the November issue of W magazine, shot by Juergen Teller at her Milan home which consists of two adjacent one-bedroom apartments, one for Dello Russo and one for her clothes. Well, what can we say? A style icon’s gotta do what a style icon’s gotta do:) And she’s definitely one of them! A NEW style icon for a brand new era.
