Best of Both Worlds Part 1: New York and London Fashion Week

Let’s go past the recession, the global warming, the dying species, the approaching winter or the other “bad hair day” small moments we may have and admit that this time of the year it’s all about Fashion Week. From New York to London and from Milan to Paris, these are the ultimate most vividly beautiful and fashion-full weeks of the year! We’re all eyes on the TV, internet and magazines and we can’t wait for the next day to come so that we may see what the catwalk has in store for us for that Summer called 2011. Gaia’s dealing with its love of fashion as she knows best: browsing day by day through the collection and preparing its own version of the New York and London Fashion Week’s most ravishing looks. Here’s what we liked best!

New York’s Finest

The oh-so-loose chic @ Alexander Wang              Playful prints @ Diane von Furstenberg

The “preppy meets mannish” style @ Jason Wu                                 The it-trench coat @ Derek Lam

Cool Countryside @ Ralph Lauren                                         A 70′s breeze @ Rodarte

…and those Statement Dresses @ Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta

London’s Best

Studs and restless animal print @ Burberry

All that drama Lace @ Erdem

Street Couture @ Giles

A Tale of Je m’en fiche @ Paul Smith
