Just take a moment and remember Gaultier’s spring collections which, some way or another, has been imprint with ghetto references and the wildest hip hop scenarios. Este nimic altceva decat un proiect marca Miu Miu, care inchina un scurtmetraj diferitelor experiente vestimentare care definesc, in cele din urma, femininitatea, fie ea si una frivola. Asa se face ca a fost chemata la apel regizoarea Giada Colagrande, a treia la care Miu Miu a apelat dupa colaborarile cu Zoe Cassavetes si Lucrecia Martel, pentru seria Women’s Tales.
Patru femei aveau sa fie personajele principale intr-un film in care rochiile colectiei actuale sa fie highlight-ul povestii, in care regizoarea a trebuit sa se gandeasca mai mult la rochii decat la personaje, in care dualitatea feminina si misterul te tin, in mod inexplicabil, cu sufletul la gura. O ceremonie ezoterica, la sfarsitul careia femeile se transforma in rochii. Pentru ca feminitatea, in viziunea Miu Miu, dar si mai departe de ea, isi gaseste traducerea vestimentara, in rochii. “M-am indragostit de rochia rosie din colectia aceasta si am imaginat-o pe Maya Sansa intrand in cada si transformandu-se in rochie, dupa ce se intepase la deget pentru a-i crea culoarea”, a declarat regizoarea. Un film scurt despre o rochie (sau mai multe), despre feminitate, despre mister, despre emotii. Watch the movie, wear a dress!

Despre Pilati inca nu stim, inca nu speculam, inca nu visam. In privinta lui Simons, insa, lucrurile s-au asezat. A iesit plangand la salutul de final, a facut o colectie impecabila, iar din aceasta toamna, este directorul de creatie al istoricului Dior, punand, in sfarsit, capat, controversei legate de inlocuitorii lui Galliano. Discretul Simons, insa, nu se opreste aici. Un inlocuitor al lui Galliano are, inainte de orice, nevoie de vizibilitate.
Asa se face ca pe coperta numarului de vara al revistei i-D, se afla nimeni altul decat…Raf Simons, fotografiat de Willy Vanderperre, un Raf Simons care incearca, parca, sa iasa dintr-un perete de flori albe si negre, purtand un costum al brandului sau omonim. Mai mult decat graitor, titlul de pe coperta – “It’s Show Time! Starring Raf Simons” – te duce cu gandul nu doar la ce va fi sa fie, ci si la cum va fi sa-i fie in acest nou rol unui designer care nu are nimic de-a face cu tot ce a insemnat flamboyant-ul Galliano. Nicio colectie, niciun show, nicio ceremonie, niciun interviu, nicio inovatie, nici goticul, nici romanticul, nici scandalosul. Cu toate astea, insa, nici scepticismul nu a fost vreodata un raspuns. Motiv pentru care, hai sa-i dam Cezarului ce-i al Cezarului si sa-i recunoastem Sarei Burton meritele in incercarea de a duce istoria mai departe.
Dovada de netagaduit: colectia pentru toamna-iarna 2012/2013, un tribut adus romantismului, ascensiunii, lejeritatii, intr-o maniera pe cat de couture, pe atat de fetisista. Dior Secret Garden
May 11th, 2012Dior nu a descoperit nicio gradina secreta, dar, ca orice brand istoric, constient de misiunea sa in lume, a filmat recent un video de promovare al noii colectii, nicaieri altundeva decat la Versailles, prin gradinile palatului si, in general, printr-o intreaga poveste, regizata si gandita de Inez van Lamsweerde si Vinoodh Matadin si avandu-le in rolurile principale pe Daria Strokus, Melissa Stasiuk si Xiao Wen.
S-a intamplat la Versailles pentru ca…se potrivea, pentru ca era o incadrare buna pentru o colectie si mai buna, pentru ca, per ansamblu, casa Dior are o istorie anume legata de palat: de la prima colectie a maestrului Dior intitulata chiar “Fete a Trianon, Bal a Trianon” la cea mai recenta colectie in care amprenta Versailles-ului este la fel de vizibila, Dior pare sa fi transformat palatul intr-o a doua casa.
